BIOGRAPHY
Dato’ Leong Kin Mun President, Malaysia Biomass Industries Confederation (MBIC) Dato’ Leong Kin Mun, is the Managing Director of Primer Capital Sdn. Bhd. A company with an extensive knowledge and experience in green finance solutions and investment management. Dato’ Leong currently serves as President of the Malaysia Biomass Industries Confederation (MBIC) since 2012, a national level industry association highly engaged with various government departments in Malaysia; which makes him very well acquainted with various industrial issues dealing with green technology. He formerly served as the Technical Advisor for the EU-Malaysia Biomass Sustainable Production Initiative (Biomass-SP) between 2010 and 2013, an economic co-operation initiative between the European Union (EU) and Malaysia Government through the Malaysia Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT). He sits in the Energy & Environment (E&E) Flagship Research Committee, championed by the Standard and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia (SIRIM) and Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (MOSTI). He is highly engaged with China-ASEAN Technology Transfer Centre (CATTC) in various activities related to renewable energy and green technology. His work has earned him the prestigious recognition, Ten Outstanding Young Malaysian (TOYM). Dato’ Leong graduated from University of Technology, Malaysia (UTM) with a Bachelor of Surveying (Hons) in Property Management and Valuation and was the recipient of the Vice Chancellor Award from UTM.
